Growing up really does happen in a heart beat.

Ok, so my name really isn't Kevin Arnold and the story of my adolescence was not the inspiration for a TV show. But the quote that ended the show has always spoken to me. Growing up really does happen in a heart beat. And since I believe that everyone continues to grow up, no matter what age they are, I try to remember to savior my experiences and respect them for how they can/have changed me.
I hope this blog becomes a forum for me to discuss those changes. With whom I am not for sure. I will certainly not tell anyone that this blog exists. In a way this blog was inspired by a girl named Winnie (not her real name but someone who I adored just as Kevin adored Winnie). For close to three years we wrote an email to each other every day. The emails grew longer until they reached about 1000 words. When one has to write a 1000 words each day they look at things differently as they pass through the 24 hour period. I remember thinking, "I will have to include this in my email to Winnie* tonight". Doing all that writing helped me reflect on the events of the day and my life. It helped me see things a bit differently than I would have if I didn't write.
So you may be wondering about the story of Winnie* and why the emails stopped. I guess that story is going to have to wait to another post. But I hope she is doing well and some day I know I will happen upon her when I least expect it.
